Hey Everyone,
New Years Eve dinner -Nutella and bananas!!

Well this week we had a small miracle! We found a new investigator! She was a referral we had been trying to contact the whole month of december, and she finally opened the door! We set a return apt and came back on thursday. When we got there she told us that she had just lost her husband the last week of October. She has a 9yr, nicholas, and a 5yr old, madison. We taught her the Plan of Salvation and you could just see her face light up with hope. She accepted everything and said she would read the book of mormon. We are really excited about her. If you could please keep her in your prayers. :)
For new years we had to be in early, so we came home made banana nutella french toast, read conference talks, popped popcorn and watched Legacy in Spanish :) It was a pretty fun night.
I went on exchanges this week and got to go to a spanish area!!!!!! It was so much fun. I miss it. But I love my ward here so much. English really isn't that bad... I just know that I'm actaully a latina, so I miss my culture :)
We also met with a Hindu family this week. He had asked for a bom about a month ago, so we decided to check up on him and he invited us into his home, and made his two kids and wife come in to listen to us. We didn't teach an actual lesson becasue they started off with tons of questions. They asked a lot about the temple. We also learned a little about their religion too. It was a really neat expereince. We also met with this man named Ahmad who converted to Christianity 6 years ago, but he has to keep it quite or else there are some people that could kill him... kinda scary.

It was a good week, full of new experience and many New Years Resolutions. I hope you all have made some goods ones and have plans to carry them out :) I love you all so much. The gospel is true and the Atonement is real! Never lose faith in that.  :) I LOVE YOU THE MOST!

December 30th
The Marroquin Family

Hi everyone!

Well I have the greatest news ever.... Hermano Marroquin was baptized on friday! I got to go back up to Hollywood, and give the talk on baptism. It was the greatest day of my mission. I have never felt so much love before. I was bawling the whole time. Sister Johnson was too and she had no idea what was going on cause it was all in Spanish!! but she could feel the spirit. The Marroquin's became my family and they called me their daughter that night. I know we will be family for the rest of our lives and longer. I felt so blessed. They are now a complete family, and in one year they are going to the temple. Hermano made sure that I would be able to come back for it. I told him that there is now way I'll miss it.
I got to see Jackie and Joseph while I was there. I LOVE them. They told me they are coming to Utah to stay with us in September, so put that on your calendar :)
I love being a missionary. I love seeing the atonement change people and change lives. It's real. and It's all true. I know it's true.
I hope you all have a great New Year's and make some resolutions to be better member missionaries in 2014. We all have a work to do, so let's get doing it!
I love you all so much, thanks for being my perfect Christmas gift! I LOVE YOU THE MOST!

Hey everyone,

Well I don't know what to writ since I will be talking to most of you very soon :)
but I'll give you an update on my new companion.
Her name is Sister Johnson, she is from Michigan, weighs about 90lbs, is so sweet, very funny, and has a huge desire to serve. she is also waiting for her visa to Brazil. ( I don't know why, but they like me to train the Brazilians) but hopefully it won't come to soon.

We had a Christams Devotional with half the mission. It was so good. The spirit there was amazing and Sister Weidman put togethere a beautiful program. The musical numbers were so beautiful too! I got to see Sister Warner, Sister Uele, and Sister Wells. it was a nice little reunion :) I didn't realize just how much I had missed sister Warner until I saw her, we totally became best friends. haha so lame but it's true.

Um we had our ward christmas program on sunday, we sang in the choir. And it was really good. we and Andy (one of our investigators there) and sister Wolper :) so it was good.
The work here is still slow but its picking up. We are starting to make some progress. But it will take time, prayers and patience :)
