Elder Engerbrertsen(he was a visa waiter) heading
to Argentina this week.

Martha and Hermana Flores (Sister Flores is
fellow shipping her)

Sister Wells (in black) is being transfered this week...

So I can not believe that this transfer is already over!!!! So crazy!!!
So our trainer Sister wells is leaving. she is going to marvista and back to work in the VC. and me and sister Blair are staying here... and im senior companion, but mostly becasue I can drive. So ya, we will have some great stories coming up because we don't speak the greatest spanish.... but the lord will help us :)
So this week we set two more baptism dates! One with Ana Perez. She is 26 and her and her husband justgot married 3 weeks ago and moved here. He is a member of the church, he got baptized 3 years ago, and has been working with Ana for a while now. he even took her to the visitors center! and she told us in our first lesson that he goal is to be married in the temple forever!!!! so awesome!
Our other baptism is Eduardo. He is in his 30's and is a recovering drug addict. He from the moment we started talking to him on the street, we could all feel that he has the strongest spirit and so much faith. In our first lesson he kept saying he didn't know if he was good enough for the church, but we cleared that up quickly :) and today we taught him again, and he's been reading the book of mormon and likes it. and he told us today that will have a light about us, and that he wants that light too. so amazing that  he can see and feel the difference!!!
So those are my stories for this week. Oh and Dad, Martha made us arroz con leche this week!!!! It was amazing and reminded me of you :) she also said she would teach  me how to make tamales!!
Well I love you all so much adn miss you a ton. thank you for all your support and love.love you!

Elder Quentin Cook and his wife Mary with Pres. Baker and wife.
Metro Zone Conference

Monday, May 20, 2013

Hello Family!
So the coolest thing happened this week........... Elder Cook came to our mission!!!!! He was amazing. He and his cute wife talked to us. He talked about things that we had been praying about! It was so cool to be able to hear him speak and shake is hand! It was a great day
Also this week we had a little bit of bad news. Martha has a law of chastity problem. She has a man living with her because he is a friend and has cancer and needs help. So we arent exactly sure what to do about it cause it is still considered as co-habitating. so we are going to have to talk to president about it. So please keep her in your prayers. But she did come to church again yesterday and she loved it! I know she'll get baptized as soon as we figure this problem out.
Our other baptismal dates are Marco and Ruben. And when we went to teach them last friday night, Marco surprised us with dinner after the lesson. and guess what it was..... Soup. but not just any soup, it was shrimp, fish tale, fish spine, fish head, octapuse soup!!! Haha I have never chewed or swollowed so fast in my life!! It was so funny to watch sister Blair eat it casue she hates fish, but she did eat all of it :) it was a night I will never forget
The spanish is getting better. I just wish the people would breath a few times inbetween every 10 sentences!! they speak so fast! But Im learning and will keep trying my best. but please keep praying for me.
Well I can't really think of anything else other than be member missionaries! Get to know the missionaries in your ward. Invite them over for dinner and get to know them. It will help you understand what im doing. We really can't do anything without members!
I love you all so much, and miss you everyday. But I feel so blessed to have the chance to be here doing the lords work! love you

Hello family,
Well I loved talking to you all yesterday! best day ever! I miss you all so much.
So i totally forgot to tell you tat this coming saturday Quinten L Cook is coming to our mission to talk to us!!!!! Im so excited. it will be awesome. We had zone conferences this last week and I learned so much. It was kinda sad cause it was president and sister bakers last ones, they go home at the end of this transfer, (may 29) but we are all excited to meet our new president and his wife :)
Well I don't know what else to say so im just going to bare my testimony that this church is true. Just in the last month ive seen the lords hand to many times to ever deny that He's there. This is his work and he is always there for us. I love the gospel with all my heart. I hope that I can share it with anyone and everyone that will listen, because the gospel is for everyone :)
I love you all so much!

Hello Family!
a lot has happened this last week, so get ready.
last monday after p-day was over we had a lesson with Martha. She was a referral from the english elders and this was the second time we taught her. So we went over and she had read in the BOM!! and she liked it. shes not a good reader so it was huge that she did that! Then we taught the first part of the restoration and she seemed to understand. then i extended the baptismal invitation! and she said yes! then we set a date for june 9th. she was a little nervous about it being to soon, but we told her we would teach her a lot more before then. so she accepted :) and she totally came to the mothers day party on friday ans hermana perez became her freind and gave her a tour of the church. and she came to church yesterday! and she loved it! she is incredible. shes 62 and has three kids. she is so loving and just humble as ever. we asked her to say the closing prayer, and showed her the pamphlet on how we pray. she wanted me to say a prayer first adn then she would. so i did, and then it was her turn and she just read that "how to pray" box! haha she thought it was a memorized prayed. haha it was pretty funny.
Tuesday we did service for hermana paque, and we have been cleaning her back yard, which had a ton of junk and weeds and equipment and just so much stuff. So i was trying to grad this piece of wood to throw it out but i couldn't reach it cause of this bucket that was in the way. so i went to step over the bucket but ended up stepping on it and broke right through the lid and stepped in old paint. it wasn't mixed so i just stepped in that watery oil stuff on top, but it has been sitting there for YEARS so it smelled so bad! oh man it was bad. and all the elders were laughing and my companions, it was embarrassing, cause then hermana paque came out and brought towels and a blow dryer and a new pair of socks, casue it smelled so bad and was just gross. But later that night we got to teach Gary again, the less active member and that was the highlight of my day. he is awesome we actually got to teach him twice this week and both lessons went great. I still feel like gary is the reason im here right now, so i feel so blessed to be able to teach him.
And guess who I saw this week after zone training..... Elder Beecher!! Haha his face was priceless!! haha it was so good to see and catch up a little. I will actually see him again tomorrow at zone conference so i'll be sure to take a picture. :)
Well i love being a missionary still, yes it's hard but its so rewarding. we had some hard times this week, but with the help of our wonderful elders in our district and the power of the preisthood we got help :) I love you all so much, thank you for the support, love and prayers. Love you
